KSEB Hydel Tourism – Adyanpara
The Adyanpara Small Hydro Electric Project, with an installed capacity of 3.5 MW, is located in Chaliyar Grama Panchayat. The project harnesses the water potential of the Kanjirapuzha stream, a tributary of the Chaliyar River.
The Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) has developed Adyanpara as a Hydel Tourism Centre, providing visitors with an opportunity to experience and learn about hydroelectric power generation facilities amidst its scenic natural surroundings. Various tourism and recreational facilities have also been provided for visitors.
With its unique combination of natural beauty and the features of a hydroelectric power project, Adyanpara has emerged as one of the major tourist attractions in the region.
